Mommy tips-

Week 6:
Listen to your kids. Let them know that
you are interested in what they are feeling. Be sure not to ridicule them for
their concerns. (Even if it seems silly to you, it can be BIG to them)
You want your kids to be able to open up to you, about ANYTHING!
When they are ready to talk, (from my experience) it's usually not the most
convenient time. That is the time to decide what is more important- your
kids, or their bedtime, or the conclusion to the cliffhanger you
started watching last week?
It means a lot to them to have your undivided attention when they need
to talk. Sometimes all they need is a little comfort or reassurance. Pray with
them for every little need. Show them scripture relevant to what you are talking
about. They will see the Lord at work in their life as they
grow.
Thy word is a lamp unto my
feet and a light unto my path. Psalm 119:105
Week 7-
Do not ridicule your
children. What you might think is lighthearted
humor could be taken seriously by a
child. Even if they laugh at the
time, some things stay with them
causing self-image problems.
She opens her mouth with
wisdom, and on her tongue is the law of kindness.
Proverbs 31:26
