Asparagus with Cheese Sauce
 
You will need:
    1 can asparagus - save the liquid, you'll need it in the sauce 
    1 stick Margarine ( more or less )
    1/2 cup (aprox.) Cheddar cheese
    2 slices of bread- cut into pieces
    flour
 
    Melt about 1/4 stick of butter slowly, add shredded cheese. As it is
    melting, pour liquid from asparagus a little at a time, stirring almost
    constantly. Spoon in a little flour to thicken. It should be like a thin
    gravy. Lay the asparagus stalks in the sauce, there should be enough
    sauce to cover it.
    Melt enough of the remaining butter to cover the bread pieces. Spread
    them over the asparagus and bake at 350 until sauce is bubbly and
    bread is toasty.
